What happened

Following the events surrounding the planned invasion of Snowy River on September 4, 2026, SnowWalkers leadership has made several immediate decisions regarding SWCP's operations, internal command structure and diplomatic position.

SnowWalkers was scheduled to invade Pizzaioli territory on Snowy River. Under the applicable rules, a minimum of five members was required for the battle to proceed. SWCP failed to reach that minimum, while Pizzaioli also failed to field the required attendance, resulting in the battle being cancelled and the invasion being voided.

I, the_alternate, was unable to attend and lead the invasion due to a scheduling mistake. By the time the issue was discovered, it was too late to move the invasion, and CPA administration did not allow the battle to be rescheduled at that stage.

Following the cancellation, leadership reviewed SWCP's position within the CPA.org league and decided that continuing our current operations there was no longer beneficial to the army.

Effective immediately, SnowWalkers will cease operations within the CPA.org league.

The previously scheduled invasion of Half Pipe has been cancelled. All remaining SnowWalkers land and economy within CPA.org have also been transferred to our allies, the Pontian Warriors.

From this point forward, SWCP will operate through CPAF and SMAL.

Leadership has also taken internal disciplinary action. Nebula has been demoted to Trainee Commander following her behaviour toward Pontian Warriors leader Nameless and threats to leave SnowWalkers for the Masked Bandits.

This was treated seriously because Nameless is the leader of an allied army and because Nebula has repeatedly shown hostility toward Shadow Legionaries despite SWCP maintaining friendly relations with SL. The demotion is based on Nebula's own behaviour and conduct toward allied leadership and within SnowWalkers.

Leadership has also updated SnowWalkers' diplomatic position.

Effective immediately, Fire Vikings and Pizzaioli will both be considered passive enemies of SnowWalkers.

This does not mean SWCP is declaring active war against either army. Instead, it reflects the current state of relations and means that SnowWalkers will no longer treat either army as neutral or friendly.

Any future change to these diplomatic statuses will be announced by leadership.

What this means for SnowWalkers

SnowWalkers is not shutting down.

Instead, this marks the end of our current operations within the CPA.org league. SWCP will no longer participate in CPA.org map operations for the time being, and our remaining assets there have been transferred to Pontian Warriors.

Our operations will now continue through CPAF and SMAL while leadership focuses on recruitment, attendance, reliability and the internal stability of the army.

Snowy River demonstrated that SWCP is currently unable to reliably field the attendance required for CPA.org map battles. Pizzaioli's own failure to reach the minimum does not change our responsibility for SWCP's performance.

At the same time, leadership recognizes that Snowy River was also affected by organizational problems. The intended leader of the invasion was unable to attend because of mischeduling, and a late attempt to resolve that issue could not result in the battle being rescheduled.

The members who did attend, attempted to bring others online or helped keep the operation running should not be blamed for the cancellation.

Leadership will also continue to enforce expectations regarding staff conduct. SWCP staff are expected to treat allied leadership appropriately and to handle internal disagreements without creating unnecessary conflict between SnowWalkers and its allies.

The new passive-enemy status toward Fire Vikings and Pizzaioli also marks a change in SWCP's diplomatic position. While neither status represents an active declaration of war, both armies will now be treated as hostile rather than neutral in future diplomatic considerations.

Effective immediately, SWCP's CPA.org land and economy have been transferred to the Pontian Warriors, the invasion of Half Pipe is cancelled, and SnowWalkers will operate through CPAF and SMAL.

Nebula will continue under the rank of Trainee Commander, while Fire Vikings and Pizzaioli will remain passive enemies unless leadership announces a future change.

Leadership will now focus on rebuilding activity, attendance and reliability under this new arrangement.
