SnowWalkers’ Temporary Departure From CPA.org

Following the activity changes passed during the 2026 CPA Summit, SnowWalkers has decided to temporarily step away from CPA.org while remaining active through SMAL and focusing on recruitment, stronger event sizes, and a future return.

SnowWalkers has always focused on growing stronger and making decisions that are best for the army long-term. Following the recent changes passed during the 2026 CPA Summit, leadership has reviewed what the new activity requirements mean for SWCP and how they could affect us going forward.

After discussing our options, we have decided that SnowWalkers will temporarily leave CPA.org after completing our remaining scheduled operations. This is not a shutdown or merger. SWCP will remain active through SMAL while we focus on recruitment, improving our event sizes, and preparing for a future return to CPA.org.

What happened

During the 2026 CPA Summit, several changes were approved regarding what an army must do to remain active within CPA.org.

One of the most important changes for SnowWalkers is the increase in the minimum event size from two to five participants.

For an army like SWCP, this is a major change. We are capable of reaching five and have done so before, but we do not currently reach that number consistently enough for leadership to be confident that every event will meet the new standard.

Rather than remaining in CPA.org and constantly risking events not counting, we believe it is better to temporarily step away and work on the problem directly.

SnowWalkers will first complete the events and invasions that we already have scheduled.

After our remaining CPA.org operations are finished, we intend to transfer our CPA map territory to our allies, the Pontian Warriors, who have supported SnowWalkers on numerous occasions.

Our relationship with the Pontian Warriors will continue outside of CPA.org.

What this means for SnowWalkers

Most importantly, SnowWalkers is staying open.

We will continue hosting events in SMAL, recruiting new members, developing our staff team, and working toward making a max of five or higher something we can reach consistently rather than occasionally.

Leaving CPA.org temporarily also allows us to focus on growth without having every event judged against a requirement that we are not yet ready to guarantee.

This decision does not mean we are giving up on CPA.org either.

We fully intend for this departure to be temporary.

Once leadership believes SnowWalkers has developed enough to reliably meet the new standards, we will look toward returning to CPA.org.

Until then, our focus is simple:

Recruit, improve, and grow stronger.

Next watch

SnowWalkers will complete its remaining scheduled CPA.org events and invasions before beginning the temporary departure process.

After those operations are complete, our remaining CPA map territory is planned to be transferred to the Pontian Warriors.

From there, SWCP will continue operating through SMAL while leadership works toward building the consistent attendance needed for a future return to CPA.org.

This is not the end of SnowWalkers' story in CPA.

It is simply time for us to build before we return.
